When the thing you're deploying is firmware on a battery rack the size of a shipping container, "we'll roll forward" stops being a strategy.

Before Stradiva, every release went through a six-hour change window. Three engineers babysitting the rollout, two more on standby. The cost wasn't the tooling — it was the cognitive overhead of believing every push could light the building on fire.

Stradiva's canary mechanism is the part that made it land internally. We deploy to five percent of the fleet, watch the metrics Stradiva already collects, and either promote or revert. The button to revert is one click and it's labeled "rollback." It works.

We still take change windows seriously. We just don't dread them.
